My Journey to Health insurance

My career hasn't followed a straight line, and honestly, that's what makes me good at what I do.

Finding my Purpose

I spent years in retail management, then moved into banking as a Funding Analyst, getting good at assessing risk and understanding what people can actually afford. Life threw me a curveball in 2017, and I stepped back for a while to regroup... but I kept moving forward.

When COVID hit in 2020, the world shut down, and I thought, "Why not use this time to build something?" So I went back to school and earned my degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I worked in that field for over a year before returning to banking. But in 2024, unforeseen circumstances changed my path again.

That's when it clicked! I had banking experience, medical billing knowledge, and a knack for helping people navigate complicated systems. But I wanted to do something that felt more meaningful: helping people protect their health and financial security instead of just analyzing numbers on a spreadsheet.

The best decision I ever made

So in May 2024, I became a Licensed Health Insurance Advisor. I'm not just licensed, I also have a degree in Medical Billing and Coding, which means I understand healthcare from both sides: the financial side and the clinical side.
